Jewels from the Quran Episode 1 Shaykh Ismail Musa Menk Tafseer of the
Noble Quran. Shaykh Menk in his unique easy to understand method highlights
key verses from the Noble Quran and explains them. Ismail Musa Menk was
born in Harare, Zimbabwe. He was tutored by his father who is a well known
scholar and Daee. He completed his hifz and recitation courses at an early
age and learned the Arabic and Urdu languages whilst studying Shariah under
his father. At the same time he attended an Academic College in Harare
where he completed his secondary secular education. He then attained a
degree in Shariah from the University of Madinah and later specialized in
Iftaa at Darul Uloom Kantharia in Gujarat. He is a broad minded, tolerant
motivational speaker who has won the hearts of many. He teaches at the
Darul Ilm in Harare and finds the time to attend many international
religious conferences, seminars etc. He is also Imaam at the Arcadia Masjid
in Harare. He has been invited on lecture tours to many countries. He
contributes towards the Islamic content of various media networks and is an
experienced social worker and counselor. He enjoys spending time with the
underprivileged. Each year he spends the month of Ramadhan with a far off
community explaining the Quranic teachings. This work is all done solely to
earn Allahs Pleasure without any monetary gain or remuneration involved.

Li Cunxin Maos Last Dancer Li Cunxin was born into Maos communist China,
and at the age of 10, he was selected to train in Madame Maos Beijing Dance
Academy. And so began Lis dance career. He was 11 when he left home to
begin a harsh training regime at the Beijing Dance Academy. Li hated
dancing during his first two years and pined for his family. But fear of
what he would return to kept him going. At first his grades were poor, but
soon, under the guidance of a special teacher, his true potential was
recognised and developed. Lis astounding determination and drive became
apparent as he practised his turns at night by candlelight, and hopped up
and down stairs with sandbags tied to his ankles to build his strength.
When he was 18 Li was offered a soloist contract with the Houston Ballet.
After two years, Li defected to the West in a dramatic media storm which
involved the then Vice President, Mr George Bush Snr. A few years later, he
fell in love with another Houston Ballet dancer, Mary McKendry. They
married in 1987, and in 1995 moved to Melbourne where Li became a principal
dancer with the Australian Ballet. He quickly made an impression. By now
34, an age at which many dancers have already hung up their shoes, Li was
wondering how he would continue to support his two (soon to be three)
children when his dancing career ended. Learning how to compound his money
was his latest fascination, so in 1997 he began studying at the Australian
Securities Institute with a view to becoming a stockbroker
