Flash is amazing software that can be used for multiple purposes. Be it
creating an animation, or developing a game or website; Flash has got the
answer to all. Attractive and eye-pleasing graphics that are used in any
Flash file, will keep you engaged and captivated throughout. Flash
development is getting its desired popularity gradually and prospective
website owners now demand to get their websites to be developed on Flash
application. Flash eliminates the usage of HTML coding. Playing multimedia
files on a Flash website is just a simple task and it doesnt require any
extra software to be used. These files are playable on YouTube or other
video services like BBCs iPlayer.Flash game development is another genre
where flash developers are making wonders. There are millions of Flash
games that are available online and users can enjoy them for free. These
games can range from mind games, maze games, board games, shooting
fighting games etc. You can play as a single player or can also play
against the computer. Few of such games will also allow you to enjoy
playing them against a real life opponent. Flash games are also available
for mobile phones and you can download them on your handset and enjoy them
seamlessly. Flash games can keep you hooked in to your PC or mobile phone
and you will certainly love them all throughout. The most alluring feature
of Flash is its universal compatibility. A Flash file, Flash website or
Flash game is compatible with almost every type of Operating Systems as
well as browsers. Flash offers smooth animations without hogging bandwidth
resources. A Flash designer has got a huge space to use his creativity on a
Flash website, animation or game. Flash can be attached with various other
developments scripting languages and thus allowing an extremely
user-friendly platform to work on.Flash is one such out-and-out
customizable software that will help you to offer your clients with
ultimate bespoke facilities. You will be able to add every feature that
your client want to have there in his/her website. There was an issue in
the past that Flash websites dont come into search engine scrolling. But it
has become a myth now and web masters have come up with strategies that can
help your Flash website to get scrolling in the search engine listing.
Search engines now have the ability to read Flash files and extract text
and links. In particular, Google and Adobe announced a new algorithm for
indexing Flash content. So there is hardly any reason Flash will not enjoy
the best of popularity in the recent future.

Digital Marketing - 7 Steps Of The User Experience Optimization Process

Posted: 29 May 2011 06:22 AM PDT
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/WebBlogNews/~3/CMneYvnjUjc/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email

Any good website today has implemented user experience optimization into
the finished product. Theres so many great things user experience
optimization does for a website and a brand like increasing retention and
ROI, building trust and awareness, converting more visitors into customers,
and so much more. So, what exactly is the process to take your current
website and optimize it for the best possible user experience? Well, the
process of user experience optimization can be broken down into seven
steps.1. Focus groups and polls You have to start with finding out exactly
whats wrong and what people think because if you dont know whats broken or
what needs to be fixed, then you cant solve the problem. Focus groups and
polls do exactly that. Think of it in terms of going to a chiropractor.
Before they start making any adjustments, they are going to do an X-ray of
your back first so they can identify what needs to be fixed.2. Persona
development Every business has a culture. Your website should match your
culture and thats exactly what persona development does. Far too often
businesses dont do enough thinking about this for their website. The last
thing a business wants is to have a different voice on their website from
that of their culture.3. Wire framing The next part of the user experience
optimization process is to put together the wire framing, or blueprint of
the website. This is where you take what youve already learned from the
focus groups and persona development, and start to put it together in the
blueprint. The wire framing outlines where pictures and videos will go,
where content will go, where a call to action will go, and so much more.4.
Sitemap development Once the wire framing is complete, the next task is to
complete the sitemap. The sitemap is basically the structure of the entire
website which defines how many pages the website will have and which pages
are linked to each other. This is just another element to the blueprint.5.
Implementation Now comes the time in the process to actually build the
website or build the changes into the website for user experience
optimization. You might think this is the most difficult part, but in
actuality its one of the easiest parts of the process. Everything up to
this point has been much more difficult so far.6. Testing analytics Once
a website or the changes to the website have been completed, the next step
in the process is to do testing and analytics. You do NOT do a full-scale
launch of the site until this step is done first. You want to test for
every conceivable thing that might go wrong on your site. You want to put
the site through every possible scenario you can think of and then test it
some more. You might do a soft launch during this phase.7. Reporting
(measuring success) Finally, you want to measure the success of the site.
Some things you are looking for in user experience optimization are
increased conversions, lower website drop-off rates and higher returning
visitors.By the way, do you want to learn more about the ever-changing

I Want to Build a Website

Posted: 29 May 2011 03:09 AM PDT
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/WebBlogNews/~3/_BbxqPr1yTA/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email

You say I want to build a website, well I am going to show you how to build
a website in the fastest easiest, and cheapest way possible. You just need
to understand some basics, then you need pointing in the right direction,
and that is what this brief article is going to do for
you.IntroductionBuilding a website represents for many their first step
into the online or virtual world. Before this you may have observed the
virtual world along with over a billion others as you surf the Internet.
Unlike the real world where you are a player (whether you like it or not),
in the virtual world, you can just be a spectator, or you can choose to
express yourself and become a player too. But being a spectator and being a
player in the virtual world are two different things and so you have
arrived at the conclusion, indeed the conviction I want to build a website.
For a young person this might not seem particularly amazing, but for older
people they appreciate what a revolution to mankind, the Internet
represents. Never before has it been so easy for a single individual to
communicate with so many others so comprehensively, effectively and
easily. Why build a website? Now you want to move up a gear, stake your claim
to some Internet terrain and become a player in the new virtual community.
If you take one step at a time, who knows where this may lead you? As they
say: how does one eat an Elephant? One mouthful at a time! You could begin
with your own blog, express yourself and make your mark. In future, you
might even be able to make some real money from this virtual world. If you
are already in business, you could start marketing and even selling your
goods online. Little wonder then that you are thinking I want to build a
website. If I want to build a website, then how much will it cost me?Not
long ago this would have been a difficult job, that required a lot of
knowledge or money, but today it is easy. It will not cost you any more
than the use of a computer with broadband access to the Internet and your
time.I want to build a website, but when can I do so?You can begin right
away and you could publish your first hosted website for free within
minutes. You can then extend this and build it as you have time and
inclination.I want to build a website, how do I do so? You will need a
place to host your website (which is like a place to park what you have
built), you will need a domain name (which is like your address showing
where your website can be found). There are many fancy features that might
be helpful or that in time you might like to add. For each of these you can
pay, but why pay when you dont have to?Where do I go if I want to build a
website? There may be other places, but I will mention two of the best that
I know of. Each will tell you more about themselves in fact everything that
you need to know about them, so in the interests of brevity, I will not
tell you any more besides where to find them. There is:#1.
http://www.weebly.com/#2. http://wordpress.com/Where to from here?Once you
have built your website, unless it is just for your personal benefit and
for your friends, you may want to publicise it and draw attention (or
traffic) to it. This is the next step and for this, you will need to learn
more, but begin with what I have told you and as I said earlier take one
step at a time. This is the first article in a two-part series. The second
is entitled I want traffic.

Special iPhone Applications for Watching TV Channels or Stations

Posted: 29 May 2011 02:49 AM PDT
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/WebBlogNews/~3/ySl1qZXpUSU/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email

The users of iPhones want to use the iPhone device for all the maximum
possible services that can be transferred to the device with or without
cables. One of these services is related to the television. There are many
iPhone users that want the iPhone to be used at times as a television. For
this special iPhone applications have been designed and developed. Upon
downloading these applications the iPhone user can use the iPhone device as
a television and watch his/her favorite TV programs being telecast by
different TV channels or stations.106 and Park This iPhone application is
for those people that like RB and hip hop. Applications like QVC and ESPN
are based on the whole network while this application is dependent on one
specific TV show. It is added to the list just because it is the main show
in the whole network. With the help of this application the user can find
new music. This application allows liver interaction with the TV show. This
interaction is in accordance with the twitter protocol. This application is
mainly targeted to the teenagers because that is the age when a person
likes to interact with the live shows.ESPN The ESPN iPhone application is
male oriented. It is possible that some females may also like this
application but this application is mostly used by the males. The video
highlights of the major sporting event of the day can be watched through
this application. This application allows the user to listen to some radio
programs that have been produced by the ESPN network. The applications can
also be used to get the latest updates on the information and scores. The
limitation on the number of sports on the ESPN.com is hardly of any
relevance because this number is so big that you have a range to choose
from.QVC This iPhone application seems to be designed and developed for the
females especially the women of substance. The QVC iPhone application is
not only like the website but also a television station. This application
highlights the beauty products and there are different sections such as
Fragrances, Bath Body, and hair care. The application exhibits tools for
enhancing the looks of the females. This application has come into
existence to meet the demand of the females because when it comes to
shopping of beauty products, most of the women are found to purchase all
the things that can make them look more beautiful. These are just 3 very
famous applications among a number of TV station iPhone applications. You
can try the other applications too. At the end of the day you would like to
see the TV program on the iPhone and whatever application that serves your
purpose is going to be liked by you.Copyright ? 2011

Four Areas to Approach Web Design For Business Purposes

Posted: 28 May 2011 11:19 PM PDT
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/WebBlogNews/~3/IWGeeehZbTM/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email

When designing a website, one should consider several factors to make it
successful. This includes its practicality, function, look and the fact
that it is search engine friendly. The first area is the practicality of the
site. Ask yourself if customers or visitors will find their needs on the
website that you are creating. They dont have time to figure out a way to
get around the site. Chances are they will leave the site and choose the
next one on the list. Remember that visitors go online to find the answer
or to look for a service provider for their particular needs and this could
be your business. In an instant, everything should be clear. Be sure to
have important details like contact information, address, shipping policies
and the like. Giving such details will give the business certain
credibility.Another area not to be neglected is the fact that the website
should be able to function properly. As a web designer make sure to check
out how fast does a page load. Consider also errors and bad links. Take
note that not all internet users have fast connection. For those designing
the website using Flash program, the files should not be too large for
certain connection speed. Give users an option to switch to the basic HTML.
Consider also the compatibility to browsers such as internet explorer and
Firefox. As web designer, dont forget to take this into account. The website
should be professional looking. It should somewhat create a credibility and
consistency in the marketing strategies of the business. In the process of
web design, one should consider the particular market that is targeted by
the product or services being offered. In case you are focusing on the
elder market, the website should be visible with large fonts. The younger
generation is a very easy market. All you need to do is be creative and use
the trending marketing strategy like social media.Lastly consider the fact
that search engine optimization has a power over web design efforts. When
designing a website, it should be friendly to top search engines like
Google. There are certain guidelines to follow when doing a web design that
is friendly to their robots. A great example is something that is related
to navigation and site map. There are a lot of experts that you can hire
regarding the said services. A web designer shouldnt forget these areas in
order to keep the visitors loyal to the site. It should also involve giving
them information they need and as a result it creates confidence to the
business.

The Boons and Banes of Joomla

Posted: 28 May 2011 11:18 PM PDT
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/WebBlogNews/~3/xEeIlT2ZyX4/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email

Website developing and designing is very common nowadays. However, if youre
a beginner and would want to start your own website you really have to
choose a content management system that would help you best. By far, among
the most popular content management systems is Joomla. This is the most
downloaded among other CMS. For your information, Joomla is an
award-winning content management system and well-loved by the IT community.
This is especially useful for those who belong to the IT community and even
for a beginner like you. Before we get to discuss the boons and banes of
this particular content management system, let us first get to know the
background of Joomla. This started more than a decade ago and to date,
downloads have reached as much as 2.5 million times. It is comprised by
approximately 200,000 contributors all over the globe. This is indeed a
well-known CMS and to give you some proofs of its popularity, this has been
used by big names such as MTV Networks Quizilla, a social networking site,
IHOP which is a restaurant chain and even in the academe which Harvard
University is also using. This is just a brief background of this
particular CMS. Now, lets first discuss its advantages. The BoonsMany
experts would usually advice you to use it for some good reasons. This is
far better to use than any other CMS because its an open source and can be
downloaded for free. This is also a full-fledged and committed CMS.
Compared to WordPress, this is proven to be more effective and powerful.
This also has thousands of extensions reaching as much as 6,000. Its core
features may include user management, contact management, banner
management, polls, search navigation and many others. With this, you can
also manage your website any time you want. You cannot just add articles
but photos and other files as well. This is also SEO friendly so theres a
good chance that your website would go up the list. This is equipped with a
navigation engine that allows you to search any item you want. This also
facilitates ease of you because it has tons of videos and tutorials. The
BanesHowever, Joomla is also faced by banes that would veer your away from
using it. Though it is considered to be just easy to use, there are also
other CMS that are far easier than this. It is suggested that you use
WordPress if anyway your website is just a simple one. If you also use this
kind of CMS, theres a great chance that it will slow down your Javascript
and CSS. In the long run, you may need to consult a developer to resolve
some issues. Those are basically the pros and cons of Joomla. Now, your task
is to decide if youre going to push through using it. Though it may have
some cons, still it has its pros. So, you really have to weigh things out.
As long as you find ease using a certain CMS then thats basically just fine.

5 Quick and Easy Ways You Can Create Your Own High Profit Sales Minisites

Posted: 28 May 2011 08:18 PM PDT
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/WebBlogNews/~3/VlyLVjIdj6A/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email

Building your own sales minisites can be a bit of a chore no doubt! After
creating a product you need a website to sell it from, but for some this
step has a steep learning curve. The process of creating a sales minisite
is one area that sometimes stops potential internet marketers from
profiting on the web. But, this step is essential if you want to make any
money online. You also need a sales site to attract affiliates, get
involved in joint ventures or to give your internet marketing business any
credibility. Its obvious though why this step causes many internet
marketing novices to stop in their tracks. But there are several ways
around this sticking point. Here are 5 top ways you can immediately use to
speed up the process of creating a simple sales site for your next internet
marketing project.1. Use Video.A video sales page usually just has a video,
a few bullet points, and a buying link. Once you have shot your sales video
then creating the page is the easy part. By using video you immediately do
away with most of the problems of web graphics, formatting text, crafting a
sales letter, and lots of HTML coding. The big benefit of including video as
your sales message, is that you can also demonstrate your product right
there on the screen. This is powerful marketing.2. Use Outsourcing. If you
decide to outsource your minisite creation you will of course need a budget
to pay your freelancer. The good news is that there are thousands of highly
talented and creative web developers out there who can help you out.
Freelance sites like elance.com or peopleperhour.com have lists of those
who can create your minisite. On many of these freelance sites you dont need
to pay anything until you are satisfied with the result. Also, those
interested in taking your project will indicate how much they are willing
to take to complete it, so they try to out bid each other. These two
factors will tend to keep the costs down and get you a great job for a
great price.3. Use Someone Elses Site.If you dont have a product yet you
can use someone elses site and sell their product as an affiliate. Although
this doesnt get your site up and running it does give you a chance to earn
money, gain experience, and to build a list of your own buyers. This also
helps you gain a bit of breathing space while you get your own products up
and running. The another big advantage of this technique is that you can see
the type of websites that are converting visitors to buyers, and making
money. This can give you big pointers to what you need to include in your
own minisite project.4. Use Templates.Templates are webpage blanks. They
have all the features of the completed page like headlines, subheads,
testimonial boxes, bullet lists and buying links, but none of the detailed
content. This leaves you free to plug in your own information and transform
the template into your own sales page. The big advantage here is that your
sales page will be your own. Even although you started off with a common
template, your own information will turn it into a sales minisite that no
one else has. You can even include your own graphics, video, etc to
transform it into something unique.5. Use PLR Products.Private label rights
products (or PLR for short) often come with their own sales sites. You can
of course usually edit both the PLR product, and the sales site, and so
produce not only a unique product, but also a unique sales minisite. You
dont have to do this of course. At the very least all you have to do is
insert your own buying link into the sales page to make the site your
own.Any of these strategies can short circuit the process of creating your
own high profit sales minisite. You need to remember that the process of
creating web pages is central to internet marketing, but to get up and
running you dont need to spend hours and hours slaving over a hot keyboard.

Is Amazon AppStore A Good Alternate For Downloading Android Apps

Posted: 28 May 2011 07:00 PM PDT
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/WebBlogNews/~3/Bu65MQBYMpE/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email

The number of Android applications hosted by Amazon AppStore now goes
beyond 4000. There is an Android phone simulator to test the functionality
of the Android application that you want to buy. The Android application
can be downloaded through the web browser of the computer or through the
Amazon AppStore. Some of the prominent reasons for the Amazon plunging into
the sale of Android Applications are as follows.Mouth watering
incentivesThe Amazon AppStore is organized so systematically and
methodically that whoever visits it for the first time feels comfortable at
navigating and buying the Android Applications. The incentives offered by
the Amazon AppStore are very attractive. A paid application is being
offered free for a day by the Amazon AppStore. A prospective buyer of the
application are offered a trial period of 30 minutes on certain
applications. These applications can be run for only 30 minutes on the
virtual phone browser. This helps the buyer to decide whether the
application is going to be of any use to him/her and saves him/her from
spending on applications that are of no use to him/her.VirusesIt is known
that the Android Market of Google is resistant to viruses. This impression
was shattered when the code of 21 famous free android applications were
found to be infected with a virus. After incorporating the virus those
applications were republished to be sold in the market. The hacked versions
or the infected versions of the applications had a code that used to steal
the data of the user. This viral code was also able to download excess code
after installation of the hacked application. The devices were being
hijacked through this hacked application. The Google was quick at response
and launched an antidote kill switch to get rid of the hacked application
form the Android phones affected by the virus. Google has now come out with
a security tool for the Android phone users to get rid of infected
applications.Centralized DistributionThe official market of Android is the
single central location for buying and downloading the Android
Applications. The Android community puts in meticulous efforts to regulate,
and moderate the applications so that they are free of viruses. When the
user tries to find and download applications from unauthorized sources, the
chances of downloading infected applications increase drastically. This
implies that the applications should be downloaded from legitimate and
reliable sources. The Amazon AppStore by offering Android applications for
sale is one way contributing to the popularity of the Android phones and on
the other hand offering an alternate source to buy and download the Android
Applications. Finally it depends on the Android phone user whether to source
the application from Android Market or Amazon AppStore.Copyright ? 2011

Live Chat Widget - How Best to Use a Live Chat Button for Your Website

Posted: 28 May 2011 03:53 PM PDT
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/WebBlogNews/~3/Gk1b9rF2R2g/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email

A live chat widget is fundamentally used to allow users to communicate in
real-time within a website. But before the advent of onsite live chatting,
and even before the age of social media, Internet relay chat rooms were
huge, and millions of people around the world were getting acquainted using
the older versions of chat rooms. The reason for this is that chat rooms
provide a real-time way of getting in touch with friends no matter where
they are in the world. However, with the advent of social media, things
changed, and relay chats took the backseat.Adding a real-time element to a
website is something that many users will appreciate, because it gives them
a whole new interactive experience. It adds value to visitors. They say
that social media has added a real-time element to how we interact with
other users online, but the truth is, its not real-time enough. With a
real-time element to on-site communication, i.e. live chatting on-site,
websites could become a good marketing tool that lets you zero in on what
customers or visitors are saying about your products right this
instant.Sure, with blogs, microblogs and other social media tools,
businesses can have a 10,000-foot view of how people think or feel about
their products, but a good live chat widget raises the bar higher.
Businesses can now hear what their visitors are telling about their
products or services as the discussions unfold right within the business
website. With live chat tools onsite, businesses can also gather other very
essential data and information such as the demographics of the sites users,
very vital information that tell businesses what type of tone their
marketing communication should have. Should it speak to the youth, the
elderly, mostly to the male or female? Also, with a live chat button
installed, businesses can take away information that relate to their
competitors. With all the conversation that goes on onsite, theres a great
chance that visitors would talk about how they feel about the competitor,
whether they prefer their products or services over the website on which
they are currently logged on. Its such a powerful marketing tool. With a
live chat widget, businesses will have a powerful marketing intelligence
tool at their disposal. Its one tool that is very indispensable and
effective that no business should miss. Its a marketing tool that will
greatly complement every marketing strategy that businesses are already
doing.

ERP Evaluation Criteria

Posted: 28 May 2011 02:45 PM PDT
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/WebBlogNews/~3/dQpiPvcLIdU/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email

Evaluation of ERP software is a very challenging and tedious task.
Organizations are very cautious because the ERP they chose has a long term
impact on the organization and organizational productivity. A wrong choice
can easily land an organization in a mess which they will find difficult to
come out of. As people say ERP is like a marriage; Once you start to use an
ERP and have your Business Data on the ERP for some time, it will not be an
easy task to switch over to another ERP. The heavy investments (more in
terms of organizational resources than the money) and the complexities
associated with the implementation make moving to another ERP an extremely
tough decision. So there must be a diligent process for evaluating ERP
software. The evaluation process of ERP software should be properly defined
and directed. An ERP selection process will typically involve the
following:1. ERP selection team: At the time of ERP selection, most of the
companies follow the process set up by Chief Information Officer or IT
Manager. In addition to CIO or IT Manager, the ERP selection teams should
also comprise of functional heads, top management representatives and
actual users. An experienced and matured team can certainly evaluate
various vendors for their strengths and weaknesses and make a better
selection.Scope of ERP Software: A good ERP package must have
functionalities to meet the present as well as future needs of the
organization. Full scope of the ERP software should outline functional
expectations of all business division such as Sales, Inventory, Finance,
Procurement etc. It is very difficult to get an ERP Software which matches
your needs 100%. Typically a 70% fit is considered fit enough. Though
during the demos you may feel that a software meets your requirements 100%
but that doesnt happen in real. Firstly because Organizations are not very
clear of the Requirements at the beginning phase. Secondly it is very
difficult evaluate an ERP functionality in a demo which generally lasts
about an hour. For that matter even if you had a demo lasting 4 hours you
will not be able to understand an ERP in that detail which you normally
need. A typical ERP software will have the following functionalities:
Accounting / FinanceDistributionManufacturingHRISMaterial
ManagementProcurementCustomer Relationship ManagementGraphical Dashboards
now called as Management DashboardsSome Reporting tool (Either inbuilt or
third party ones)And other industry specific modules like could be a
Transportation Module, Fixed Deposit Management etc. There are several ERP
packages available in the market, each having its own strengths and
weaknesses. Every package has its own concept, architecture and set of
functionalities. Organization need to identify right vendor by analyzing
many factors such as the products features, customization complexities,
implementation success rate, cost, customer references, post implementation
support, local and International presence and number of installations. ERP
should also support multiple locations, multiple companies, multi
currencies and multiple languages(if required).TCO Analysis: When
evaluating costs, besides the ERP Package price also include cost of future
upgrades, implementation costs, customization costs, Supporting software
license costs(OS/Database etc) and hardware costs etc. Also consider the
costs that you will incur over a 5 year window atleast. This will enable a
fair comparison of several ERP packages, as well as define the long term
ROI. Organization should also clarify with ERP vendor for any unforeseen
and hidden costs that may arise in the due course.2. Integration with other
Applications/Equipment: Apart from ERP, organizations use several software
applications. An ERP may also be required to integrate with these
applications like Mail server, Attendance systems, Production Equipment,
Weigh scales, Bar Coding machines etc. for exchanging data. Organizations
should discuss these issues with ERP vendors during the evaluation phase
itself. These interfacing also may require interaction of the ERP vendor
with the manufacturer of these machines/applications to check if they will
be able to provide the information to ERP vendor in some computer readable
format.3. User Friendliness: A user friendly interface of ERP software
increases the user acceptance rate. During ERP demo organizations should
check how user friendly the system is.. They should check the navigation
structure, clicks required to open a function, drill down options in
reports, Graphical options etc.4. Longevity of ERP Implementation partner:
ERP Implementation and support are a long drawn processes. Organizations
may need frequent support and help during the lifecycle of ERP. This is
where the longevity of the implementation partner plays an important role.
It is imperative to the check the business background of the ERP
implementation Partner. Some questions that organization should seek about
the vendor are: How many years has the company been actively engaged in the
software business?Identify their core business; ERP business should be one
of their core businesses and not one of their smaller businesses. People
often tend to hive off their smaller businesses as the Economies of Scales
dont justify for them to be in ERP business. In such a scenario you could
often be left in the lurch. So you should have some Source Code
arrangements like Escrow or some exit route for you if a Partner or the ERP
vendor himself decides to shut shop. When was the ERP product launched in
the market and what is the current release version?Check the customer list
relevant to your business and the customer testimonials.Ask for Customer
references. Try and visit their Client site though it may not be possible
for time constraints as well as the reluctance of Clients to showcase their
ERP to a third party. Plus for Clients such site visits are often a
nuisance. Insist atleast on a Customer Reference from the ERP vendor. You
must remember that selection of the right implementation partner is perhaps
more important than the selection of the Product. Almost all Products will
be basically good and will have functionality meeting a reasonable amount
of your requirements. Its the Partners way of implementation that can make
the vital difference. Some ERP companies also implement themselves as
opposed to a Partner approach. Both approaches have their merits and
demerits. When you are in search of ERP Software, the most important point
to keep always in mind is that the software you are looking will become a
lifeline of your organization. Its a tool that will directly influence the
long term productivity and efficiency of your company. So selecting that
should certainly deserve a sizable amount of attention from the right set
of people in your organization.Nitin Kumar Singhal is a part of the Sales
